Individual Therapy
Many people find great benefit from individual therapy. It can provide a setting to discuss and sort out personal issues you might not be comfortable discussing with others close to you. Such issues might include relationship or career problems, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, or other emotional difficulties. We all face different challenges and we all react to life’s circumstances differently; individual therapy can help you meet those challenges in a more productive, positive way.
Couples Therapy
Couples may seek therapy at any stage of their relationship and for any number of reasons such as communication or anger issues, value differences, child-rearing disagreements, lack of intimacy or general difficulty in the relationship. If you and your partner are experiencing difficulty, I will work with you to help increase communication and understanding. We'll explore the dynamics at play in your relationship as well as look at what each of you bring to the relationship individually.
Family Therapy
Families today take on all shapes and sizes. A family is no longer simply defined as mom, dad and the kids. There are blended families consisting of step-parents and children, families with two moms or with two dads, and single-parent families. Each family has its unique challenges. Family therapy can serve as a forum to address concerns and emotional and behavioral issues in an attempt to create a more cohesive family unit.
